In this regard, Payesh Sanat Novin Company is the exclusive agent of PetroGas Integrity Company in the field of technical and engineering services related to the inspection of pipelines using smart pigging method.

Our goals in obtaining this agency:

Proper performation of smart pigging projects, in accordance with international standards.
Transferring of technical knowledge of inspection of pipelines by smart pigging method into the country and training of domestic experts in this field.
In the direction of domestication and supporting Iranian products and services, making possibility of designing and manufacturing the smart plugs in the country.

Polarization Cell

One of the major problems of cathodic protection systems in industrial plants (like petroleum and oil refining plants) is the leakage of the DC current due to presence of earthing electrodes that conduct both AC and DC current into the earth and thus the amount of the DC current (needed for cathodic protection) would be reduced which lefts the structure unprotected. The polarization cell is an electrochemical component in which nickel or stainless steel electrodes are immersed in 30% KOH solution. Polarization Cell ceases the flow of DC current into the ground when used with cathodically protected structures. Payesh Sanat Novin (PSN) Co. research team has developed the Polarization Cell that effectively blocks the DC current and passes the AC current through earthing electrode.

Remote Monitoring of Cathodic Protection System

Remote monitoring system enables us to monitor and control the performance of transformer rectifiers, including the input/output voltage and current, oil temperature, the amount of potential detected by reference electrodes, its door (whether it is closed or not) and to name but a few. Not only can these data be detected but also wrong performances in the system could be reviewed and modified using a smart application. Monitoring can be applied utilizing both wireless and wire based systems. Payesh Sanat Novin (PSN) Co. research team has developed such a monitoring system and installed it in various industrial plants such as Bandar Imam petrochemical complex, Azarpad Jetty (which is built in Kharg Oil Terminal), and Kaveh Methanol Co. to monitor their impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system. The wireless system is based on GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) which eases the detection of false performances in ICCP system.

Polarization Cell Replacement, PCR

PCR (Polarization Cell Replacement) provides DC decoupling and AC continuity / grounding when used with cathodically protected structures. It is a solid-state device which can be applied instead of the Traditional Polarization Cells. Comparing with the traditional one, there are a number of merits offered by PCR:

PCR is an electronically based equip that does not need the use of hazardous acid (KOH).
As mentioned, the traditional tool is an electrochemical switch containing KOH and thus it needs the regular maintenance of the fluid level, while PCR requires no maintenance.
The maximum amount of blocking voltage offered by Liquid-filled Polarization Cell is about 1.2 V. In contrast, PCR has the capability of blocking the DC voltage up to 3 volt.

Payesh Sanat Novin (PSN) Co. research team had worked on developing the native PCR tool and this tool was successfully installed in various industrial plants such as Petropars Ltd, Gas Company of Yazd Province, Rey Power Plant, Iranian Offshore Oil Company (project carried out in Sirri Island), etc.
